| My daughter called me the other day and said Jacob, my grandson, who is five years old had his first loose tooth. The next day the tooth fell out and another tooth had loosened. Jacob asked his mom if there really was a tooth fairy and she must have told him yes because he put his tooth under his pillow hoping to cash in on his lose. My daughter, Kathy, said she only had a dollar bill on her at the time so she slipped it under the pillow where his tooth layed. The next morning when he arose and only found a dollar he was very disappointed. Kathy asked him what was wrong and he said he was expecting at least two dollars. I told her to tell him we are in a recession now and even the tooth fairy is feeling the crunch. She said that Jacob was excited about losing his teeth because he likes getting the cash so he can buy stuff. He now even has a six year molar. This kid is losing and getting teeth right and left now. I 'm just amazed at how fast kids grow up these days and how much smarter they are. When I was five, many many moons ago I might add, I was dumb as a rock. I know that because my brother kept telling me so and I knew he would not lie to me. It just seems life was also much simpler and a lot more fun when I was a dumb kid. What has any of this got to do with Jacob losing his teeth? Nothing. I'm just rambling. | | |
| My daughters are playing these virtual games on Facebook and thought it was necessary for me to join them. Reluctantly I joined them and I am so hooked on them that I am almost ashamed. One of the games is Mafia Wars. It is naturally a world of crime where you do a lot of beating up of unsavory characters in order to increase your own empire. I love it!! The other one they had me join is Farmsville where I grow and sell crops. It is a lot of fun too. My daughters are always getting me into something new and exciting which I am truly thankful. I am so grateful for them. They have been really a big help to me through my battle and I know it was very hard for them to see me very ill and in pain. They were not used to seeing their mom down and didn't know just quite how to handle it, but I couldn't have ask for any better support. So now they find new ways to get me involved to be as active as I can when I can. I am truly grateful for that.(sometimes, lol) It keeps my mind active and my fingers nimble Lucky | | |
| It's been a mighty long time since visiting xanga. I have been very busy trying to get well and dealing with my illnesses and I think I am coming to terms with them and maybe even being friends with them. Life teaches us a lot if we listen and life is good. | | |
